SISTO'S GOAL
1,000 PILLOWCASES
110 DOWN / 900 TO GO

Sisto’s Sewing and Quilting Studio
along with
BERNINA of America
are Local Headquarters for the
National 1 Million Pillowcase Challenge
Sisto’s
is proud to be an official participant in the 1
Million Pillowcase Challenge. Together with our
customers we will create pillowcases that
can provide comfort for a
cancer patient, hope for a foster child,
encouragement for a battered woman, or beauty
for a nursing home resident. BERNINA aims to
inspire quilters, sewers and crafters all across
the country.
As we collect pillowcases and donate them to
local charities, we update the pillowcase
counter at
www.allpeoplequilt.com/millionpillowcases,
which tracks nationwide progress toward the goal
of one million pillowcases.
At Sisto’s Sewing and Quilting Studio, located at
1911 North Market
Street, anyone in the
community is welcome to visit during business
hours
and participate in a
variety of ways:
-
Pick up a free pillowcase pattern
-
Purchase fabric and notions
-
Schedule a group pillowcase sewing session
-
Schedule time to sew on a BERNINA machine
-
Drop off completed
pillowcases that will be donated to the
following:
Hope Alive (See Below)(please

Nursing Home (please make us some elderly

"At
first, I didn’t understand, why a pillowcase?
How will that make a difference? After
some research, I found out that this pillowcase
will be a “bright light” in someone’s dreary
day.
This is a way to
“visually” lift the spirits of a family trying
to get a fresh start.”
~
Ron Sisto, Owner of Sisto's.
“Quilters and sewers are some of the
most generous and creative people
in the world,
and we believe the 1 Million Pillowcase
Challenge is a
perfect way to match people’s
talents with a community’s needs.
One
million is a big number, but I’m confident we’ll
reach the goal.”
~
Martin Favre, president of BERNINA of America.
