We are closed.
The day has come to say farewell. In 1988 my mom, Linda
Sisto, sent me to college, and a few months later open up a
sewing machine store. It was always her dream of owning a
shop, and with the help of her soon to be fabulous repairman
husband, Ron Sisto they were off on a creative adventure.
Our family has made incredible friendships over the
last twenty-four years. I want to thank you for your words
of support over the last month. Liquidating our store was
much like dealing with the death of a loved one. Denial,
Anger, Bargaining, Depression and Acceptance. We are happy
to let everyone know that we are in acceptance. Our dreams
for post-store activities are now a reality. Sewing
projects, remodeling homes, and fishing on a boat that has
never made it to a lake is in our future this summer.
So many of you have been
asking questions regarding the future of thier sewing
machine warrantees and BERNINA Owners Class.
"THREE YEARS FREE
SERVICE"
If you have a new machine that has 3 YEARS FREE
service on your sales slip. Dad will honor the free service
until the expiration date that will be on your sales slip.
Please bring your machine and
SALES SLIP to:

If your BERNINA

Curtis from Stitch N
Time will be honoring all machine warrantees. You will have
to pay for his labor, but he will process the necessary
paperwork to get your parts replaced for free under your
warrantee. Curtis is an authorized BERNINA dealer and has
worked with my father for several years. It is OK to take
your baby there ;0)
Please bring your
BERNINA machine to
BERNINA Guide Classes
(My BERNINA class or Owners Class)
We are super excited to
announce that Stitch N Time will offer your BERNINA classes
free of charge to you. Please let them know when signing up
that you purchased your machine at Sisto's and they will
take AWESOME care of you. Check out the website/newsletter
for their schedule. BTW they have classes on the calendar
for JUNE!
ALSO Susan Anderson will be
teaching quilt classes at Stitch N Time in the near future.
In the fall she will start the spectacular Block of The
Month Coxcomb Medallion quilt. It was the quilt that she
has been putting together in our store over the last few
months.
We encourage you to build a
relationship with Curtis and Krista at Stitch N Time. I
have met with them personally, and they are very able and
eager to help with the transition. Even though dad is
planning on continuing with repairs, he will not be able to
repair forever. Curtis and Krista are a young couple. They
are early in their creative adventure. Sort of like my
parents when they started twenty four years ago. Please
support them with your business. It is very difficult to be
a small business sewing machine shop owner. Big business
has a way of interfering with the success of small
businesses. Remember, if you want the luxury of walking
into a mom and pop shop...then you need to spend your money
there.
Thank you for helping us
liquidate our store in the 30 days that we were allotted.
Take care and stay creative,
~Nichole Sisto Johnson
